AMERICAN HOLIDAY STORIES
A Christmas Memory - Truman Capote
The Long Christmas Dinner - Thornton Wilder

DECEMBER 5-14
THE WARWICK THEATRE

A performance of two Great American Christmas classics ~
Act 1: In one continuous scene, Thornton Wilder chronicles six generations of a pioneering and enterprising American dynasty into a seamless series of family Christmas gatherings in The Long Christmas Dinner. Wilder compresses time by moving characters onstage through generations of adolescence, marriage, parenthood, and maturity. Like his later masterpiece, Our Town, Wilder's play captures and celebrates the sweet and poignant transitory joys of family life.
Act 2: In A Christmas Memory, Truman Capote recalls an idyllic Southern holiday season when as a young boy he baked fruitcakes, gathered holly, and flew kites with the beloved eccentric cousin who raised him and inspired him to become a writer. It is a beloved celebration of fruitcake, love, family, friendship, and Christmas. Join us for Holiday cheer and celebration after every performance!
