Kathy Kane – Isabelle

Kathy Kane has performed in The KCAT production of Picnic and the staged reading, Bones of Butterflies.  She played the part of Penny in You Can’t Take It With You directed by Kathleen Warfel.  She has also been seen as Mrs. Braddock in The Graduate, and as Hannah in The Busy World is Hushed performed at St. Mary’s Church for The Theatre Gym.  Favorite roles in the past include Lotte in Lettice and Lovage at MET, Dottie in Noises Off, Rose in Avow, Bessie in, Marvin’s Room and Claudia in Nuts.

 

Patty Whitlock – Joan

Patty Whitlock is thrilled to be back with The MET after last being seen as Lucy in Bright Star with Olathe Civic Theatre. She worked on the stage management team with the MET in 2019 on The Weir, City of Angels, The Shawshank Redemption, and The Cherry Orchard. Past favorite roles include South Pacific (Nellie) and The Glass Menagerie (Amanda). A huge thank you goes out to all her friends and family for their love and support.  

 

Curtis Smith – Jacques

Curtis Smith is an actor, playwright (guild member playwrights) and creator of things. He returned to Kansas City to play Jaques in this beautiful theatre. He currently lives in western Kansas, where he takes care of his mother following the death of his father last year. He wishes to thank MET sponsors for their generosity and support. Without you we cannot do what we love in this amazing space

 

Tommy Waller – Pierre, Guard

Tommy Waller is thrilled to be returning to the MET once again. Previous MET credits include Hal in Proof, Jim in The Weir, Alfred Wood in Gross Indecency and Arvirigus in Cymbeline. Tommy has also been seen acting for THUD Productions, Relevance Productions and at the Coterie Theatre. He is also an active member of Kansas City's improv community having performed at and for Comedy City, the Groundhog Day Theatre and the Kansas City Improv Company.

 

Bob Paisley – Priest, Scribe

Bob Paisley is an award-winning actor and director, working with theatres across North America, UK and Australia. Bob has played such challenging roles as Teach in American Buffalo, the title role in Faustus (LA Dramalogue Award), Tom in The Glass Menagerie, Heisenberg in Copenhagen, The Man in The Event, and the 42nd President in Bill Clinton Hercules.  Screen credits include The Rosa Parks Story, General Hospital and the CBS TV murder mystery series, Scene of the Crime.

 

Kathy Breeden – Lady of the Court

After 35 years of teaching and directing, she is more than thrilled to be back at the MET to revisit the intriguing life of Joan of Arc. Retired from both Missouri and Kansas education, Kathy served as the Shakespeare Director for Interlochen Arts Academy for several summers.  Kathy has been seen locally as Amanda in Astra Theatre's GLASS MENAGERIE and in the ORPHAN HOME CYCLE plays at the MET and served as the Dramaturg for CHERRY ORCHARD.  Kathy has 3 daughters, 4 grandchildren, two son-in-laws, and three fluffy little pups.  Life is good. 

 

Karen Paisley – Director

Karen Paisley, the Founding Artistic Director of MET is a veteran professional director, performer, writer, award-winning educator, and arts advocate. Regularly cited for extraordinary productions, her background in music, theatre and dance lends itself especially to the theatricality of this production.  She has many directing projects and acting roles to her credit including Gem of the Ocean, Photograph 51, Parade, Jitney, The Seagull, Mary Stuart, The King and I, Ragtime, The Kentucky Cycle and others. She collaborates with playwrights regularly and is the author of several short plays, one acts, film scripts and a full-length play. She holds a BFA from UNC-G and an M.F.A. from Sarah Lawrence College.
